Meet Our Caregivers

Matthew Manning, Administrator, Certified Dementia Practitioner
Matthew Manning brings nearly two decades of compassionate care experience to his role as Administrator at Wellington Woods Memory Care. Growing up on a farm outside Batesville, Arkansas, Matthew developed a deep respect for elders through time spent with his grandparents. With a family legacy of nursing and early experiences accompanying his mother and grandmother on care visits, Matthew was inspired to dedicate his career to long-term care. Since 2006, he has worked in nursing homes, transitioning exclusively to memory care in 2018.
Matthew’s leadership is grounded in a heartfelt commitment to residents and their families, treating each with the same warmth and integrity he admired in his own grandfather. Known for his personal connections, he values becoming part of the extended families of those he serves. A memorable part of his work is when loved ones return months or years later to share the impact his team made during difficult times.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys life with his wife, son, and their Miniature Schnauzer. He has a passion for antiques, collecting automobilia, vintage medical tins, and sports memorabilia.

Tia Blessing, CDM, Executive Chef
Tia Blessing has served in elder care since age 19 from certified nurse aide to Dietary Manager. While originally considering the military or Peace Corps, she found her calling in caregiving through a vo-tech program. Her love for cooking eventually led her to pursue dietary management, where she combines her culinary passion with a deep sense of purpose.
Dependability is at the heart of Tia's work. She shows up each day not for a paycheck, but for the residents who count on her. A standout memory includes preparing Thanksgiving dinner without a working oven. With perseverance and just over an hour of sleep, she served a meal so satisfying it left everyone full and grateful. That sense of accomplishment and pride, channeling her grandmother’s spirit, remains one of her most meaningful moments.
In her free time, she enjoys practicing on her drum set, garage sale adventures, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

Marta Harrell, Activities Director
With a career in dementia care dating back to 1999 and memory care since 2016, this Marta Harrell brings heartfelt dedication and experience to every resident she serves. Trained in dementia care in 2009 and 2010, she approaches caregiving with the belief that every person is more than a diagnosis. By learning each resident’s life story, their families, careers, and joys, she builds deeper connections and tailors her approach to their needs.
She finds joy in seeing residents laugh, smile, and thrive in a safe, supportive environment. Her daily mission is to show them love, care, and attention, often ending her shift with a hug and a heartfelt “I love you.” One of her most cherished memories involves a lighthearted milkshake party mishap. An ice cream blender explosion turned into a room full of laughter and joy, reminding her how humor can be healing.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, music, spending time with family, watching birds, and playing games with her grandchildren—nurturing the same warmth at home that she brings to work.

Elise Foard, RN, Director of Nursing
Elise Foard, RN, is a dedicated nursing professional who has focused her career on older adults since 2010, with a special passion for person-centered memory care. Her interest in dementia care grew through her work in long-term care oversight, where she saw the need for more individualized, empathetic approaches to supporting those living with memory loss. This led her to shift her career path to direct care, where she believes she can make the greatest difference.
Elise is known for her empathy, compassion, and commitment to delivering evidence-based, individualized care. Her goal is to help residents feel safe, engaged, and valued every day, while also supporting and guiding their families. The meaningful relationships she’s built with residents over the years have left a lasting impact, reinforcing her dedication to this work.
Outside of the facility, Elise enjoys gardening, spending time with her animals, and relaxing with her family—simple joys that reflect her nurturing nature both at work and at home.
